Dr. Dominic F Dixon
A Mission rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, to serve everyone without discrimination.
After preaching the Gospel for almost a decade, Dr. Dixon felt convicted that more must be done than just mere words of preaching. In his words:
"How can I speak to someone about the love of Jesus when they are in starvation? It is only if I give them a meal in the name of Jesus or dispense justice to the grief of them being victimized, will they believe in the love of Jesus." "I know what it is to starve, I know what it is to be victimized, I also know what it is to be vindicated in the Lord's name."
Dr. Dixon partakes in the Church’s role in the mission of charity to anyone in need by providing compassionate, humanitarian and pro bono legal services through the various forums that he works with - that strengthen and support individuals, families and communities based on the value and dignity of human life. In order to remain faithful to his primary mission, Dr. Dixon is guided by the core values of Respect, Compassion and Stewardship.
His mission and values are based on the firm foundation of Social Teaching, a collection of themes developed over the course of the Church’s history. These themes include the belief that human life is sacred; that all humans have inherent dignity, rights and responsibilities; that social structures like marriage and the family must be supported; that the needs of the poor and vulnerable must be met; and that we must be responsible stewards of God’s creation.
Far from limiting his focus, his Christian identity and values enables him to truly be “universal,” which is what “Church” really means. The tenets of Social Teaching call us to serve everyone, regardless of their belief or background. Dr. Dixon reaches out to people of all faiths, with the goal of transforming lives for the better.
